The Port of Felixstowe has handled a consignment of swap bodies that will be used for Tesco’s domestic rail business.
The brand-new Stobart units had been brought to the port from Asia, where they were manufactured, and loaded onto a train operated by Direct Rail Services Limited (DRS). The DRS service was specially arranged to transport swap body rail boxes to Daventry and could be set to return in the coming weeks as further units are imported.
