The company, which has UK-wide coverage, employs over 2500 people, of which 2000 are field-based. Its customers include Docklands Light Rail, Metronet, Network Rail, South West Trains and Tube Lines.
telent has been designing communications networks for both voice and data traffic for over 20 years. telent’s installation credentials are enviable. With one of the largest field forces in the industry within the UK, it provides national coverage from over twenty regional locations. The company itself is Link-up approved and holds a Principal Contractor’s Licence. telent’s engineers are all certified as appropriate for the work schemes they undertake (PTS, COSS and TMTH). They are also capable of completing all associated civil, electrical and cabling works. telent is also recognised as a competent cable works contractor for route installations and modifications.
telent provides full maintenance services, 24/7/365 from its London Service Centre. telent’s engineers start solving problems as soon as they are reported and in some cases, through system remote access, before its customers have become aware of the problems. Using its Whole Life Asset Management System, telent effectively manages and supports legacy systems, through to emerging technologies. In addition, telent has solid experience in the storage and logistics of spares. The company is also well able to effect TUPE activities and transition support.
